"NOT WITHOUT GOD!"

Thursday, July 22, 2010

Today’s Scripture

“But by the grace of God I am what I am” (1Cor.15:10)

Today's Word

NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE IT

Never would have made it, never could have made it, without you
I would have lost it all, but now I see how you were there for me

And I can say
Never would have made it,
Never could have made it,
Without you

I would have lost it all,
But I now how I see how you were there for me and I can say
I'm stronger, I'm wiser, I'm better,
much better,

When I look back over all you brought me through.
I can see that you were the one that I held on to
And I never
Chorus Never would have made it
Never could have made it without you

Oh I would have lost it all, oh but now I see how you were there for me

I would have lost my mind a long time ago, if it had not been for you.
I made it through my storm and my test because you were there to carry me through my mess
I am stronger, I am wiser, I am better
I would have lost my mind, I would have gave up, but you were right there, you were right there

MARVIN SAPP

Many people attribute their success or achievements in life to their talent, skill or effort.  On the other hand, there are others that attribute their success to God.  There are many people that do not believe or acknowledge the existence of God and therefore will not give God credit for the blessings in their life.  There are, however, others that know in their heart that God is real and that he is a very present help in the time of trouble (Psa. 46:1).  Those that realize this truth are to acknowledge this in word and deed.  In other words, we are to make known that, not only, does God exist, but, that he is also responsible for all of the good that exist in our life.  This is affirming what the bible tells us in (James 1:17),    which is that “every good and perfect gift comes from heaven above from the Father of lights.”  Thank goodness that many of us, not only believe this, but, also have the boldness to proclaim it. “I never would have made it without you”, is the proclamation of everyone who understands, identifies and appreciates the presence and power of God in their life. It is simply a great way of declaring as the Apostle Paul did, “I am what I am by the grace of God” (1Cor. 15:10).

Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father we thank you for being so good to us.  There are many who do not acknowledge your existence and others that do, but, do not have an interest in a relationship with you. Still there are others that simply will not publicly acknowledge your activity in their life.  Fortunately, we know that without you we can not do anything and that without your grace and mercy we would not be able to possess and experience the numerous blessings that we have always enjoyed from you.  Therefore, give us the confidence to boldly make it known wherever we are that, “we never would have made it without you.”  This we ask that you will be honored for your goodness to us and that the blessings of abundant living may continue to flow into our lives, in Jesus name. Amen.

My family and friends gave up on me. I gave up on myself because of some of the things that I allowed myself to get into. Oh but God! Oh but God! He turned it all around and blessed me so much. Now my family loves me so much. I couldn't have turned it around like this on my own! O but God!

I enjoy all the devotions but this hit my spirit in an awesome way today. This morning during my prayer time I was just thanking God for being in my life! I thought I needed some people to make it but I now realize that all I need is Jesus! No I never would have made it without HIM. Pastor, keep allowing God to use you to feed us with a right now word.

Through all the storms and everything that I lost I know that I know that I would not be what I am and have what I have if God did not do it! I cannot thank God enough! Every time I hear this song it takes me back and makes me cry, because God has been so good to me! By the way I love your devotionals. They are very informative and inspirational; and always it seems, RIGHT ON TIME!

GOD IS SO GOOD TO ME AND MY FAMILY! WE LOST OUR HOME TO FORECLOSURE AFTER MY HUSBAND WAS LAID OFF. WE DID NOT KNOW WHAT WE WERE GOING TO DO, BUT GOD IN HIS AMAZING GRACE AND POWER ENABLED US TO GET A HOME THAT WAS BETTER AND MORE SPACIOUS THAN THE ONE WE LOST! IT WAS ALSO IN A SCHOOL DISTRICT THAT WE COULD NOT GET OUR CHILDREN IN BEFORE. I DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO GIVE ALL THE DETAILS, BUT MY FAMILY CAN TRULY SAY, THAT HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR GOD WE WOULD NOT HAVE MADE IT!!!!! LORD WE JUST GIVE YOU ALL THE PRAISE!!!!

Pastor, you dont know how timely this is. I was feeling down and non motivated. However, in my spirit it was like I was hearing the Lord say to me just shout out how you made it this far! As I did it felt the power of God revive my soul and make me so ready to take on the challenges that are before me! Just reminding myself and others for that matter, who God is to me and what he has done in my life makes me so grateful. I am ready to fulfull the great commission of telling others who God is and what he can do in one's life if given a chance! Thank you for your devotionals, they are truly a blessing!

This is awesome. I've experienced some interesting things in my life and the people that I thought would always be there for me, walked away. But if it wasn't for God, I KNOW I wouldn't be where I am today. I've made it only by the grace of God!! Awesome word Pastor D.

I refuse to erase the Daily Devotionals, because you never know what or when you might be directed by God to receive a particular word for a particular situation. Just recently I was thinking about some loses that occured in my life, and I read the Devotional about restoration. It was just what I needed for that moment. I said " Thank you Lord". He assured me that my losses would be restored, and that all I need to do is to keep trusting, praising, and wait on Him. I will bless the Lord for His faithfulness !

All peoples of every tribe and on every continent experience rejection. Some are even subject to diabolical plots of evil to "stamp out" their lives. The Jews in the Halocaust, the Native American Indians...and more. Just the same, we Christians are often marked targets of alienation and torture. But thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ! This devotional echoes the song of praise in my heart...that Jesus is the Driver and Sustainer of my existence. In losing it all I have gained God and, a richness and "fatness" which surpasses all comprehension. Thanks to God for using DAP ministries...very timely!

Now I am understanding. The clouds are clearing. Thank you GOD, without you I would be no where!!
