“And ye shall find rest unto your souls” (Mat.11:29)
|

|
Are you fighting for you health? Are you in a struggle to maintain your peace of mind? Are you battling anything in life?
Rest is defined as refreshing ease or inactivity after exertion or labor. One of its benefits is the restoration of energy and strength. Professional boxers fight in the boxing ring for a living. Yet, even the best among them, during a fight must rest in between rounds in order for them to go the distance and win. If you are in a fight to live the kind of life that Jesus says you can have, then you too must take the time to experience the rest that He is offering you.
This is so because without His precious rest we will experience burnout in life, and therefore, be unable to go the distance and capture the prize we are fighting for.

Heavenly Father, you have revealed to us in the bible that those who endure to the end shall ultimately be saved and blessed beyond measure. We know that to endure in this battle we will need your rest. Our prayer is that you give us the passion to consistently seek it, (even when we feel like we do not need it), as well as, the patience to get as much of it as we actually need. This is our prayer, that we may experience true success and become great champions in life, in Jesus name. Amen. |
