"PERSEVERANCE THROUGH PATIENCE" |
Tuesday, January 26, 2010
“Be ye steadfast” (1Cor. 15:58)
To persevere through patience means to continue a course of action without discontentment. It is one of the keys to success in life. This is so because those who begin something and at some point while doing it, become impatient, usually engage in a course of action that is non-beneficial or even counter- productive. The bible tells us about a married couple whose names were Abraham and Sarah. God had promised them that He would enable them to have a child, at some point, but they would have to persevere with patience until it happened. They did this for some time, but became impatient; therefore, they hatched their own plan to add a child to their family. The result was that it created a host of problems for them. In fact, some of those problems exist even to this day among their descendants. Therefore, let me encourage you to avoid being hasty, but instead to persevere through patience until your blessing comes.

Heavenly Father we give you thanks for all of the promises that you have made to us. We often become anxious in our pursuit of them, which can lead to problems that we do not need. Therefore, help us to persevere through the patience that you have given us, so that we may eventually possess every blessing that you have promised us, in Jesus name. Amen. |
